Caroline Hennessy

Food writer, broadcaster and author Caroline Hennessy was one of Ireland’s first food bloggers, starting the award-winning Bibliocook: All About Food in 2005.


She is a regular contributer to to Lyric FM’s Culture File programme and presented, with chef Kevin Thornton, a six-part radio series called Foodtalk on Newstalk; one of the programmes was shortlisted for a Le Cordon Bleu World Food Media Award. Caroline contributes features to the Irish Independent, The Irish Times, Irish Examiner and Garden Heaven as well as writing for the Irish Counry Living online blog.

Together with Kristin Jensen, she set up the Irish Food Bloggers’ Association in 2010 to promote food blogging and food producers in Ireland. She writes for the McKennas’ Good Food Guides, is devoted to exploring the intersecting worlds of Irish craft beer and fine Irish food and is the co-author, with Kristin Jensen, of Sláinte: The Complete Guide to Irish Craft Beer and Cider (New Island).


An experienced broadcaster and public speaker, she regularly curates and presents events that may involve any or all of the following: blogging, craft beer, Irish cider, good food and cookbooks from around the world.
