Nuala Cullen is a freelance food writer and author of Savouring Ireland: Cooking through the seasons (Gill & Macmillan, 1998) , Irish egg cookbook (Gill & Macmillan, 2005) and Irish soups & breads (Gill & Macmillan, 2001 & 2007) as well as numerous newspaper articles. She was a contributing author to Women in early modern Ireland (Edinburgh University Press, 1991).
She has a special interest in food in an historical context and has acted as a consultant for television, radio, banquets and various publications. She is also a founder member of the Irish Food Writers Guild.
