Sharon Hearne-Smith is a food stylist and cookbook author. She has worked her magic with food in the media for 20 years in Ireland, the UK and the US. Her experience includes ghostwriting, recipe development and food styling for cookbooks and magazines. She has also worked on cookery demonstrations, food shows, television commercials, packaging, advertising, movies and over 30 cookery TV shows.
Sharon’s food career kicked off in London, where she worked behind the scenes supporting top celebrity chefs including Jamie Oliver, James Martin, Gordon Ramsey and Lorraine Pascale. She also worked for over 10 years on the internationally broadcast show ‘Ready Steady Cook'. Adventures in the US include working with Ina Garten on 'Barefoot Contessa'. On moving back to Dublin, Ireland, Sharon worked with Donal Skehan, Rachel Allen and Neven Maguire.
In recent years, Sharon has written two of her own cookbooks, No Bake Baking (2014) and The No-Cook Cookbook (2016), published by Quercus (London). She is also now a regular cook on RTÉ’s Today Show. Sharon is a proud ambassador for SuperValu’s Food Karma Project as well as being their new face of home-baking.
