Kristin Jensen

Kristin Jensen is the founder, publisher and editor at Nine Bean Rows Books, a new Irish boutique publishing house that launched with the Blasta Books project in 2021.

Called ‘Ireland’s top cookbook editor’ (Irish Examiner, 2 April 2016), Kristin has worked in the publishing industry for 20 years as a freelance editor and writer specialising in editing cookbooks and recipes and has worked with many of Ireland’s best-known chefs and authors.

Kristin is also the co-author of Saturday Pizzas from the Ballymaloe Cookery School (Ryland, Peters & Small, 2017) and Sláinte: The Complete Guide to Irish Craft Beer and Cider (New Island, 2014). She is currently writing a third book, to be published in spring 2023.

In addition to being a former secretary and chair of the Irish Food Writers’ Guild, Kristin also belongs to the Association of Freelance Editors, Proofreaders and Indexers (AFEPI).
