Caitríona McBride is freelance writer. She has extensive experience in Irish print journalism and has also worked in TV and radio production for national broadcasters including RTÉ and Today FM.
She writes regularly for The Irish Times and other national publications including The Sunday Business Post.
She also writes for her own website themcbrideguide.com, with features that celebrate the best of Irish food, as well as lifestyle features.
She also wrote regular restaurant reviews and had a column called “The Cheeseboard” for The Dubliner magazine.
She has been a Series producer and director on the TV series “The Restaurant” and was the food producer on “MasterChef Ireland.”
She has also worked in Corporate Communications for Ornua (formerly The Irish Dairy Board).
Her passion for Irish dairy, and cheese, saw her work as a cheesemonger to hone her knowledge.
Originally from Donegal, she now lives in Belfast.
